On the morning of day 6, I woke up early, packed my gear and headed down the trail without breakfast, because I wanted to get out ahead of the snowmelt.

The stream was still high, but it had gone down during the night enough that I could cross it on several logs and was low enough for all of the rest of the crossings.

Once past the crossings I stopped and had breakfast, and took some pictures of Gannet Peak.

I headed further down the trail with a few showers but no major events. I recrossed the bridge that was said to have been damaged and had lunch.

I made it all of the way back out of the canyon, back to where I camped on my first night out. Overall it was a really long day.
